The Class of 2024 on the Brooklyn Bridge with their beloved tour guide, Derek.
Senior Trip to NYC Day Three: The class of 2024 had quite the busy day! They started with breakfast and a subway ride to the urban park High Line and Chelsea Park. Then they made their way to China Town and Little Italy. Seniors then viewed art at MOMA and toured Radio City Hall, where the students got to meet the Rockettes. After a short shopping break, the seniors went for a magical dinner at Ellen's Stardust Diner. They were not only treated to a delicious meal but amazing entertainment as well. Seniors then had their picture taken in Times Square and went to see the Broadway musical The Outsiders. Not only was the musical incredible but many of the students had an opportunity to meet actress, Angelina Jolie. The day ended with a walk through Times Square and back to the hotel.
The Class of 2024 was treated to a special experience of going on the stage of Radio City Music Hall. This only occurs 40 times a year!
Senior Trip Day Two: Our Laker crew saw Lady Liberty, walked through Ellis Island, experienced the 911 museum & memorial, shopped in Oculus, visited Alexander Hamilton's grave site, and ate dinner in Times Square. It was a wet and windy day, but the crew made the most of their NYC experience.
Students in our Intro to Engineering & Robotics ended their 9 week rotation with a Putt Putt Project. From initial design on paper to the final project, students had to design a Putt Putt Course. Today they got to play all the courses and see how their Engineering Minds work! Project based instruction at it's finest! Thank you Mr. Drown for bringing this excitement to our middle school students.
